The effect of the black whole (the two divergent spiral patterns) is neat.
However, though they may be in reality, the black hole seems too spherical :)

That purple galaxy is very beautiful, and it's a pretty weird concept - that's
always positive. I like the text that comes scrolling. 
The black hole doesn't look very realistic, though. Not that I know what a black
hole would look like, and I don't have any good ideas to make it better either...

Fun.  I laughed when I watched the animation for the first time.

Some suggestions:
- At the end of the second part (star + black hole), zoom quickly towards the
  black hole so that the viewer expects that the next part will show a closer
  view of the black hole.
- In the third part, add the same background as in the second part.
- In the third and last parts, add some random glowing halos around the spiral.
That's all I could think of.  Good work!

Its anybody's right not to like dump trucks, but I would rather have stayed polite. There are nice ideas involved in that animation but it does not seem consistent all the way through : smoother transitions from one scene to the other may look better.

One of the better stories this round.  The dumptruck is well modeled and has the right amount of detail for a toy.  Oddly for raytracing, it needs to look *more* plastic!  The doomed star and accretion disk are very well done.  I would, however, like to see some animation in the streamer and the star.  The text in the image is clever.  It may be more distracting than useful.  I haven't made up my mind about that, to tell the truth.  Nice complicated rotary motions overall.  Well done animation.  This comment by clem@dhol.com.
