I hear people complain about the quality level of CMPEG, but this video
shows that they don't know what they're talking about; the video quality
is good.

Simplicity sometimes wins and that's your case : it made good impression on me.
The only thing I would have loved to see better done are the snow flakes melting before disappearing on the ground.

Let's start with Concept and Interpretation of theme.  I gave you good marks for the leaf idea because I feel most animators would have tried to show the whole forest (a alot less detail that way).

Technically:  I thought you did a good job on the ground throughout the animation.  The colors and timing were very orchestrated.

Artisitic:  Good job on the season.  Most people (I'm one) see winter as a time of decay and stark contrast.  You have made a valiant attempt at recreating that feeling.
