ANIMATION DESCRIPTION:

I have been reading a lot about Jungian psychology lately and couldn't
get my mind away from the
thought that as we become more adept at examining and controlling the inner
workings of things natural
and man made around us, we are severely lacking the equivalent growth in
understanding of the inner
workings of our minds and spirit. This animation is my feeble attempt to show
the inner workings of
our spirit (or soul) that guides the direction of our efforts to control and
bend nature to our will. In particular,
it represents the idea of Yin Yang or what we normally think of as "good and
bad" or in other words the
values we use to decide in what direction our scientific efforts should be
directed.

VIEWING RECOMMENDATIONS:
Something faster then 200 MHz to view @ 25 frames/sec

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS ANIMATION WAS CREATED:

All frames are straight from Povray. I didn't use Pov animation control
because I didn't know ahead
of time what kind of frame spacing I would need at various sections of the
animation. I started with a
400x400 size and quickly discovered the Mpeg was going to be way to large ... so
resized existing frames
to 320x320 and continued Povrays at that size ... however, I discovered that
tga's from Psp5.0 and those from
Povray used together created upside down frames for the new ones ... so had to
load and save all new
frames before including in animation. Anyway, it was fun and a learning
experience even on my 486's.
