The low contrast between the blue text and the black tiles in the intro makes the text almost unreadable.  Other than that, this is a very nice animation.  For adding sound, a good soundtrack would be dead silence until the alarm goes off, at which point a loud siren starts sounding.

Unfortunately I think there is a fair bit of story lacking from all "to be continued" stories. It didn't really have all that much of a storyline, or an alien invasion, but it was cleanly done, without any flaws (or at least I didn't notice them). I think there could have been a bit more detail, but it was all in all pretty well done.
