I can understand why you had to spend all that time making the aliens with blobs.  I did a little work with blobs in my animation, and it took me 3 hours to do something much less complicated than an alien.

This isn't terribly long, and seems to just be a man used repeatedly in a repeated step pattern with the camera. Unfortunately, you hardly used any textures at all, or models except for the soldier.
