The chess piece is done well.  The blast-off and rocket engine effects are the two things I feel could use the most improvement.  The camera motion through the pipe is excellent!

Nicely elaborate story line.  Although I was impressed with the variety of scenery, I personally didn't like the style of construction: neither photorealistic nor cartoony.  A little more characterization from the rook (its surprise at the end) would have helped story.
