Use of monochrome really isn't that clever.  The pattern on the plain is moving;
I guess it's supposed to be grass, but it doesn't look like grass.

Also, nothing appears to happen, except that objects get moved around in an
unnatural-looking way.

This is by far the best animation submitted to this contest. A very threatening
atmosphere, that really emotes the force of nature of the tornado, and the
character of the old lady. The only sad aspect is the "To be continued..." it
would probably have been better to leave that out and consider the animation
finished.

Great cinematography! I really like the concept, too. Generally good-looking
models, but the ground could use some more work, and the lady seems a bit
over-sized for the house -- I don't think she could stand up straight on that
porch.

(Okay, the jerky motion of the woman's skirt at the start of the animation is a
bit less that "Holy crap", but everything else is at least a "Daaaaaamn!" and

rivetting... good story telling, good cinematography.  The use of black and
white was a nice homage to Wizard of Oz (intentional?).  Good face on the
granny.  Though, much of the scene was simplistic, it worked well with all the
good "movie magic" going on.  Nice job.

Really nice animation. Didn't quite get the bit with the stick at the end, and
would have liked to see a bit more texturing, but liked the idea, the animated
fields(?) and the way the tornado's destruction was animated. Good stuff :-)

Overall, the modelling is done very well.  One thing I feel could use
improvement is the flower, which seems more like a plastic flower than a real
flower as it is too stiff.  The dust cloud at the bottom of the tornado is a
nice effect.

Wow, what a start.  Well-chosen camera shots, fading between scenes.  I love the
way the editing keeps pace with the action -- starting out leisurely, then
quickening as the storm kicks up.  Subtle tricks like zooming slightly out
before zooming in.  Black & white treatment and isolated old house on a flat
plain reminds me of the Wizard of Oz.  I have to mark you down a bit for the
lack of story resolution, though.

The twister looks alive. The motion of the truck is realistic. The
whole scene seems to get too dark when the storm appears. The close-up
of the flower looks pixellated like its a blow-up. The zooming camera
and edits as the old lady gets up are painfull compared to the edits at
the beginning, which flow naturally.
