Upon reading the topic for this month's competition, I decided to
create a scene lit by Christmas lights. After much experimentation in getting
the right effect from a modelled Christmas light, I varied the colors and put
them into a larger setting. All objects in this scene are original and were
designed using David Taylor's Mid Night Modeller. The Christmas card was
created using an image from the Orthodox Icons page
[http://www.ocf.org/OrthodoxPage/icons/icons.html]. The design on the ornament
was assembled from public domain clipart. This image had an extremely long
render time due to the use of an area light within each bulb. Since the .POV
file created by Mid Night Modeller is very large, I have instead included an
MNM format file from which the .POV source can be easily generated.
