IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

I spent a long time thinking about time, until I came up with something
truly timeless - then I realized that that would be no good, so I decided
to do this Mickey Mouse watch.

Mickey has always been a friend to me, and he's always given me the right
time!

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

The watch-band texture was derived from a texture I found at the
POV-Textures Library http://nlic2.questint.com/texture/home.htm. The watch
itself is a fairly basic CSG structure with several cylinders.

The Mickey Mouse is where I spent most of my time. He's mostly a
collection of blob objects, but parts of him (his arms) are torus patches
(I used torpatch to create these).

The numbers on the watch face were made by font3d and the bubble.ttf true
type font that came with Corel Draw.

The textures were simple (glossy plastic), of course the watch band
is more complicated, but I was able to adapt a alligator-skin texture by
reducing it's bumpiness and changing it's color to look like a watch band.
