The explosion's pretty good... but there's no sense of anything exploding. 
Also, the ships, while quite intersting in design, lack any sufficient detail. 
For instance, shouldn't most of them be missing at least one missle?  They just
destroyed a space station, after all.

I like the lighting on the ships - matches well with the explosion. The 
red  and white missile-like-things on the sides of the ships seem out of
proportion, otherwise I like the ship design.

Explosion should be 'feathered' more toward the edges - they're a little too
hard.
Ship design is interesting.
