=====
The teddy has a too frontal position for me. It looks like it doesn't belong
to
the scene. I didn't see that it was a balloon, either, only after I read the
description.

Ah, description: What's so bad about using lower case letters sometimes?

Otherwise, nice picture.
=====
Keep up the good work Bjorn! (I wish I had access to a raytracer when I was
15).

=====
It's great that a fourteen-year boy can create images like that one.
What has his age to do with voting? I'm voting only for the image, sorry.
=====
The teddy bear doesn't seem like it's floating on air, but just placed in front
of the background. You could've avoided this, probably by placing the bear
farther from the camera. -hl
=====
Sorry attack of the killer teddy bears is not flight.

=====
Teddy Bear is too reflective (shiny). Theme is a little thin.
Is the Teddy really flying?

=====
Really Bright but the renderer sadly does a bad job,

=====
nice first effort. keep it up and learn all you can!
there are a few mean people who make really mean comments about your work. DO
NOT
pay any atention to them. they do that to everyone. no one likes it. it hurts a
little.
it doesnot mean any thing. try and ingore it.

=====
At first I thought it was a giant teddy walking through an abstract landscape,
but then I saw the red string and read the description. I think Bjorn's
picture
is excellant, and I'm hoping to see future entries by him. The teddy bear is
very cute!

=====
What does this have to do with "Flying"?

=====
cute, but i dont really see the fly in this picture

=====
ahh, giant teddybears attacking the earth!!!!!!!

=====
Good effort.  Questionable theme interpretation.

=====
Great concept - the intent of the image is not captured in its execution.

=====
What a great first image! Very good cartoony look!

=====

The boy's off to a good start! Gave him extra technical points for not using the
pre-defined textures. A good effort.
=====
Excellent concept!

The teddy bear looks wonderful. Perhaps next time you can render the clouds at
a slightly higher resolution, and make the bear not so shiny.

Otherwise....wonderful!

I especially like that you used only your own textures and objects. It's more
fun to design your own ideas!

=====
I thought it was a teddy bear (big) taking over the world. Like godzilla. But
it's just a balloon. Too bad.

=====
I like this image - it has a lot of charactor. The teddy doesn't look like it's
flying, though.

=====
Glad to see a new interest in raytracing. The hills are a bit too smooth
though.

=====
Cute, original interpitation. The bear just LOOKS like it's made out of mylar.

=====
The idea is lovely, but the image does not do it justice! The teddy bear model
is
superb, a nice simple model that captures the teddy bear ethic well :-). The
landscape
has been limited by the program used, I think. Height fields do this sort of
thing
much better, but the colours used are nice. I think the snowy mountains are not
ideally placed, as they crowd the bear a little. The lighting is directly from
the front, which while it creates vibrant colours, makes rather unnatural
heighlights on
the bear. I am not sure whether the tools used can create proper shadows, but
there
don't seem to be any. This is a good first image (better than mine!) It is a
very
good first image from a 15 year old. I am pleased to see that he drew the image
first.
I don't particularly think that this is a vital first step (although I usually
take
it), but it is vital to think about what you are doing before you start.

Generally, I like to think that someone's skill and imagination will overcome
the
limitations of the tools that they are using. However, I think it would be
worth
looking at a package like POV-Ray, which while harder to use (at first) is
more powerful.

=====
Is the bear flying?

=====
LACK OF SHADOWS...(uh!) Lack of shadows makes everything look cut n'
pasted. Can the renderer do global shadowing? If not, it would have
been better not to have any specular highlights on the landscape. The
teddy just looks as if he's standing rather than flying. Perhaps if it
had been placed above the horizon. Keep practising.

=====

Bright and cheerful
=====

Hey, damn good, I couldent make boxes when I first started :)
=====
This image gets a good score for originality. I've seen dirigibles, elephants,
and a fruitfly made out of household appliances, but I haven't seen any flying
teddy bears.

=====
I can't wait to see what Bjorn does when he gets some practice time in on this
medium.

=====
As a fellow Virtual Reality user, I like it. But was is it saying about flight
?

=====
Good work. I like the interpretation of the topic (using a runaway balloon
to represent "flight").

=====
I don't understand

=====
The first impresion was to smill at the sight of the floating bear. Nice design
and enjoyable to look at.
=====
gOOD CONCEPT WONDERFUL PRESENTATION
LACKS SOME TEXTURE THAT THE OTHERS IN THE CONTEST SHOWED
DOES NOT SEEM TO INERPRETE THE THEME
=====
Cute.

=====
Light sourcing seemed inconsistent, but was added to the comical look

=====
Original, yes. But, the fact that this is a "flight" image was at first lost
on me.

=====
great picture! suggestions: show the bear higher so you can see that it's not
touching the ground, attach more strings and place little dots at the bottom to
represent people holding the balloon.
Good job!!

=====

Calling all cars, calling all cars! The Bear balloon from macy's parade
has escaped! Be on the lookout for...

=====
I love the idea, and also the balloon. The ground and sky were awful, and
distracted badly from the balloon. A good sky and landscape would have turned
this into a *very* nice picture
