From jaime@ctav.es:
Good concept, but solar corona it's a bit strange.

From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se:
I love the eclipse, but IMHO the water should be black with bright highlights
in stead of blue.

I'm glad I read the text because the technical details are quite
interesting.

From dormammu@erols.com:
Wonderful image, notable for Interpretation of theme. This is one of the best
pictures submitted, in my opinion.

A nice idea.
Many good features but overall, not satisfying from
an artistic point of view and not entirely on topic.

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
Seems like a bit too much asymmetry in the corona -- makes it look
like a nearby, speeding object about the strike the earth.
Good landscape details, but blue water color is too intense.

From arcana@sinbad.net:
Pretty good concept. But I think the water's coming of a bit too rich a
blue. That is, unless it was supposed to have some kind of mineral
enrichment. :{)

A decent scene.... but the shortness of time shows a little.
With another few weeks to work on refinement, this
could have been a very solid entry.

From cfusner@enter.net:
Actually, I found this interpretation not only "on topic", but quite
novel. A very creative twist, seeing false "night" in the daytime.

From r@dial-up30.webbernet.net:
The trees and grass work well, and the lichenous rock texture is very good. The
halo coloration and extremely blue water are dramatic and look good. I wonder
about the accuracy, but this is art, not textbook illustration. The one big
problem with this image is the granite star texture. It really needs tweaking
to give rounded looking stars. This comment by clem@dhol.com.
