What benches?!! I want to see the depressions made by a Viking's butt!

Very nice detail in this image; the only comment I might make is that everything
looks very clean; looking at the connections between the beams and walls
reminds me of Lincoln Logs (hm... are they called Lincoln Logs outside of the
States?) Some of the board textures are extremely even; very well-behaved trees
were killed to make this farmhouse.

Very interesting stone wall texture. Nice wood textures. Not exactly an
inspiring topic, probably because this wasn't created for the IRTC.

For the sake of your game ...

Most of the wood beams are rather too well finished for
realism. The horizontal ones in the middle used all over
would have been more like it. And while I like the details,
did you use spoons? And were these communal living and
sleeping spaces also?

I like the scene though, something we can't see today.

Quite nice atmosphere, though I wonder why there is no smoke under the roof, I
can't see any outlet for it. The logs seem to perfectly shaped for the
otherwise rather primitive making.

Hi Peter!
Thanks for the credits. Your picture appears much more finished than when I've
seen it for first time. I'm Glad to read that you admit it is an old project,
but also that you worked it specially for this round. Altought, I think you
must have replaced some "photo-textures" (specially the stones one) with some
procedural ones with similar aspect, thinking that here you don't need speed to

render many frames, as in you game. The reason is, in my opinion, b'cos there
is too many contrast between the realistic parts and the photo-textures, which
detracts a bit on the artistic impression. Yes, I know that you know what I
must
say now: use height_fields for the walls!! :) Bye...

The feel of a building is good, but the stonework has obvious repetitions.

Historical and well done.

Wood direction is respected (not so common !). Much
credibility in the whole
scene. Hint : use 1 main area light coming from the fire
to light the scene, and
use 1 or 2 dimmer and larger area lights to "fill" the dark
areas. Sharp shadows
are incompatible with a fire.

I really like the wall texture, although I would have got a more 'Viking feel'
if the room was really messy! :-)

Very realistic, especially the stones. Shadows could be softer.
Notable for composition

Neat image. I do like it, except the fire. It doesn't exactly look natural, but
hey, I wouldn't have known how to do it in POV, so I'll give you some credit.
Notable for originality, composition, lighting
