From sshaw@fas.harvard.edu:
Good juxtaposition of old with new, but I don't know if I would have gotten it
without the text file description. With the top of the pot near the corner of
the image, it would have looked more realistic with a narrower field of view on
the camera to avoid distortion.

From sammy@cube.net:
Again a very good image. Just the backgroudn wall doesn't really fit in.

From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se:
The wood texture is great, but it needs some normal modification - it looks
flat
now. The stone wall is good too, but it would be better if it didn't repeat.
The smoke could use some turbulence. Good picture overall though!

I would have to say that drugs have a very firm place in our history!

The steam rising from the coffee cup looks very two dimensional.

What about rocks? Are they an image map?

=====
From jull43@ij.net:
The image is very good and not reflected in the scoring as
the topic is History. The scoring was to keep it from
affecting the scores of the images that aer on topic.

From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
Nice image overall. The composition appears a bit unbalanced, an I think the
mill material is too shiny. Generally old wooden objects bekome very rough and
bumpy.

=====
From jaime@ctav.es:
Nice composition, but some textures are a bit confusing. The wood one is more
convincing (appart from some "mirror" effect), but the stones texture is a bit
"out of place", not maching very well lighting and size. The seeds placement is

very real, specially on the mill top.

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
The wood mill is just a bit too shiny to look very old. Good modeling.

From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
A very good image.

Un peu limite vis-a-vis du theme.
C'est marrant, la map pour les pierres est exactement la
meme que celle de la maison viking !

=====
From bobfranke@halcyon.com:
Nice modeling. However the edges if the steam are too
sharp and the rocks are too noticeably tiled.

From r@surt.ifi.uio.no:
Great one. The coffee grinder is perfect, but the shadows cast by the beans
seem to be place half of them in mid air. I get a big difference between the
wall texture behind and the main objects as well. Maybe a bit of focul blur
would have helped this?? Very realistic though! :-)
Notable for textures

Excellent textures.

Nice job. Although, one thing that could be improved is the coffee beans.
They're not dark enough. Still, this is one of the better RDS scenes I've
seen.
