From sshaw@fas.harvard.edu:
Even with the explanation, I am not sure that I see the connection between the
title of the image and the image itself. The knowledge about the heirarchy of
the Roman army is evident, but the different offices described in the text file
aren't as evident to me in the image.

From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se:
The lighting is pretty good, as are the bricks in the lower-right corner, but
the textures need more work. Human skin is very awkward to do good, but the
horses would look better with more highlights. Horse fur actually is pretty
shiny, perhaps {specular .5 roughness .1}.

From jerry@hoboes.com:
Perhaps not enough obliviousness on the dicers, and not enough anger on the
commander to justify the title? Nice story, though.

From gregj56590@aol.com:
Confusing relation of title to overall story detracts from theme. Written
description is otherwise good.
I prefer a style of construction which is either entirely cartoony or entirely
photo-realistic.

I see an old army, not an A Bomb explosion and after
searching for the joke, I might have found it. I see very
regular, assembled ranks making the gambling scene
incongruous. I also see the ranks exteremly regular,
regular beyond reality, a little randomness in the spacing
perhaps?

Interesting idea and quit nice layout. Unfortunately humans and horses do not
consist of spheres and cylinders. Spoils the image for me.

A-bomb? First courtmarshall maybe (but then again we dont judge the titles)

From jaime@ctav.es:
Very nice detail. Hard work, but the result looks very nice. Liked the
composition and the point of view. The only BUT is the texture for the
road, which looks very flat.

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
Good work. I especially like the uneven bricks in the lower right corner. Many
of the colors are too intense for me. In spite of your attempt to vary the
figures, they still seem like clones.

Ambitious interpretation of the topic.

From 101741.541@compuserve.com:
Good setup, but I wish the viewer was more implied in
the scene.
(but you seem to say that it's based on an existing
picture ?)
