Jag gillar pappret skarpt, fast det verkar som om ritningen _r lite f_r stor f_r
pappret, den g_r utanf_r kanterna. Och den lilla caustic-effekten verkar lite
fel, borde den inte ligga p_ andra sidan glaset?
Snygg tr_-textur!

From vandiver@tiac.net:
Nice work! I especially like the wood texture. Three nitpicks: the paper
disappears inside one of the books, the lamp is empty inside, and the checkered
floor could be more interesting. Other than that, nicely modelled.

From jerry@hoboes.com:
It might have been more historically on topic if you had turned it into an
"alternate history" where the ancients did raytracing, and showed this. As it
is, it is just a bunch of (very nicely done) fake books.

The winner: breathtaking realism, nice glass, cute theme, politically incorrect
checkerboard pattern.

From jull43@ij.net:
Yes, the image is quite nice but I miss the connection with
history other than the title and the implication of the book
titles.

Nic idea, the books look quite good, expensive leather cover :)
I find the lighting rather confusing, it would have had much more atmosphere
if the green lamp would have remained the only light source.
Nice texture on the paper. The glass seems to me a little bit too greenish.

Yes, it looks quite good. You might want to add a rounded top edge on the glass
-- it looks razor-sharp. Lamp texture is too dull.

From 101741.541@compuserve.com:
Unfortunately, the images has a "scanline" look that
contradicts the image's theme.
I think it's due to overuse of "specular" finish.
Generally, using phong (and reflections)
gives that sharp raytrace look we love. (that said, I
know that a 486 limits the use
of some features).
The books looks good.

Very original idea.
Notable for originality, textures
