I will take your word for it that this is an accurate representation of the plane; whether or not it is, you did a good job building it.  The plane is well placed in the frame, but I am left wanting more in the scene.  You made one good object, but it is the only thing there.

Very nice plane; the horizon is awfully flat. (The water is quite calm as well for the English Channel, isn't it?) The propellor is well done. The plane looks awfully flimsy for crossing the Channel, but that isn't your fault :*)

was easier to model (entry 'spirit').

Great job doing all this by hand in POV!
The blurred propeller is too bright and shiny. Remember what causes the
blurring in reality (finite shutter opening time) so its edges should still be
well defined. Take a look at a simulated (as opposed to 'faked') motion blur
in my 'spirit' (not spirit1) image. It is done using temporal super sampling
within a defined shutter opening period.

Nice modeling on the plane, but the engine could use 
just a touch more detail.  This is one of the best rotating 
props I have seen.  I also like the sky and water, dark
