IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

Billy Domingez had had a rather unrestful night's sleep. Between the
Thunderbird and the roving gangs, not to mention the cold, hard concrete, he
had difficulty falling asleep. He did, finally, fall into the land of the
unconscious. He awoke the next morning with a horrible hangover. The
ventilator on the other side of the low wall was buzzing. Billy banged the wall
with the wrench he kept for self-defense. The ventilator ceased buzzing, but
started vibrating. This made his hangover worse. He banged it again. No
vibrations. He sighed and let his head droop forward. The buzzing slowly
started again.
"Son of a..." he groaned, and started to swing again.
        Wait.
That wasn't the ventilator. He knew that sound. Automated Patrol
Droids?
At least two of them. Billy had been avoiding them for days. Through his
headache the noise was like a quarter million bees, all gunning for his blood.
The sounds continued the increase in volume. He tightened his grip on the
wrench, and shifted his body slightly. And knocked over a quarter-filled bottle
of booze. It tingled loudly, but not loudly enough to be heard over the droning
of the APUs. Mentally cursing his luck, and loss of lubricant, Billy curled
into a ball and hoped they wouldn't find him. A shadow passed over the spilt
booze.......

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

I started by making the building in the foreground, using mostly
isosurfaces. I then copied the building four times to make the apartment block
in the background. I made the highways and billboards next, and textured
everything I'd made so far. I'd already made the patrol bots, all I needed to
do is place them. From there on, it was mostly making and placing details, as
well as refining the positions of the bots. If you have a detailed question
about how I did a specific part of this image, feel free to e-mail me at the
address above.

The .zip file is lacking in several key images, and is provided to only let you
see how I made this image.
