IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

Some glassware from laboratory furnitures.
The composition is not figurative but I was pleased
by the lighting and I'll want to show glass and refractions
because it's the first thing that I thought about the topic
and we can find these objects in most laboratories !

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

All objects are made with CSG. The Erlenmeyer flask (the
triangular one) was the most difficult. I used 3 times the
same object but with 3 differents scales (smaller and smaller)
and overlapped in themselves. The 3rd one is black and it's
the content of the flask (petrol ?).
The gradations over the glass are made with image maps (white
on black background) and the black color is transparent.
For the glass material, I have used the caustics keyword
for intensives caustics that I found more realistic.
The horizontal plane is highly reflective and have concentrics
waves for the beauty of the reflections. The center of the
waves is just below the neck of the Erlenmeyer because a
drop was fallen from it.
The vertical plane in the background is here for the lighting.
I have used a second light (blue) for an interesting ambient
atmosphere.
