DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

This is my second entry. It took around 50 hours to get everything the way I
wanted.

All the object here were made by me. Sometimes I wrote an whole other POV
program to
edit and view them and then INCLUED them in the main program. I did that with
the Benchs
and all the Glassware. The Clock and the Dragon I made a while back.

I started with the room and cut the windows and doors out and position the
lights and camera.
Then came the benchs with sinks. I had to rework both the lighting and the
benchs unitl
they worked. I wound up using 6 cylinder lights and DIFFUSE set low.
Then I place the glass in the windows and most all the stuff on the outside.
Then texture the inside walls, ceiling and floor.
Even at this point I still didn't have an Idea what my theme was going to
be.
While I was working on the blackboard with some test letters, the reflection
in the window
gave me an idea. I could use an invisable plane to change the reflection from
inverse to
to readable. I just didn't know what to write. I tried a few things didn't
like any of them.
While I was waiting for a test render, it stuck me, I could put anything on
that plane.
But what? I went though a bunch of my old POV TGA's and found the dragon's
head. Then everthing
fell into place. The dragon head, the words on the blackboard and the theme
for this piece.
I then made the glassware and the burner. There are 3 basic glasses jars with
or without
stoppers and filled with 2 different liquids. Also a testube with or without 3
different
stoppers that can be filled with 4 liquids. Placing them a lot of time and
paper and pencil.
When I did a test render. It needed somthing. I have play with NURBS. So I
took an old program,
change it a bit, and made the gas lines to the burners.
Just when I was putting the finishing touches on, my POV editor(I made) came
up with an
'DATA MEMORY ERROR' while I was trying to save the program. I deleted some
unused line and it
  worked.(Whee!)
I heavily use the Partial Screen and Mozaic of POV to test object placement.
Thanks POV for
both, sometimes you can tell before the first pass that you've done something
wrong.
I use a 800 by 600 pixel screen to try and get some of the details to show up
better.
