IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
The picture depicts the home tree of a light brown ants
colony invaded by nasty smaller black ants, fetching food and water. Droplets
of water shine all over the tree.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

The scene has been rendered with the radiosity built-in module of
Blender. The ant models are issued from an original model found on
http://www.3dcafe.com.
Water drops are paired with single vertex objects with halo materials
'on'.
The purpose of this picture is to show my fellow blenderers that the
effect is quite good looking for a scanline renderer when combining radiosity
to some tricks very easy to achieve with Blender !
The background is made out of a few brush strike in the Gimp image
manipulator, with blur set on to a high value. This way it looks better than
it would have if I modelled and rendered a background for the picture.

     Best Regards,
Olivier
