Good concept. I don't use 3d Studio Max. But you use 
particle clouds for the bonsai foliage, couldn't you have 
use it to dress those nude tress?

I'm somehow missing the topic here, apart from the bonsai there is nothing
really asiatic.  The lighting also seems quite inconsistent, but fairly good
work on the textures.
