I like this. One problem though: It may not be logical, but to me this brings
Africa into mind. The composition is good and the foreground well modeled, but

Good image.  Something about it looks like... well... not quite right can't
quite explain why... perhaps it is the old face and clothes that don't seems to
match. or perhaps it is the light that makes it seem like a 2D image.

every thing looks pasted on, with no real consistent

I think the concept is fairly good but there are some serious technical
problems: The water is totally lacking reflection and although the sun seems
to be shining there are no shadows.  The composition looks nice.

very nice models and textures... but there apears to be some very bad gamma
cliping and it looks kinda grainy, I don't know TOO much bout blender, I know
it does anialiasing but I'm not sure if you can adjust gamma from there. you
can however adjust gamma in a paint prog. that is permited within the rules.
