Pretty good. I like how you worked in so many details. The body could use some
work though...

=====
From helene.dumur@free.fr:
Very good picture, however, the body is not very realistic, the other things are
all great.

From Kzerphii.Toomk@Wanadoo.fr:
You're a great artist. Wonderful colours.

From rgow@lanset.com:
Good job on the modeling & lighting. Textures could be better on the body.

Great image, good idea with the small clues. Great work. One detail: this
fireplace doesn_t look like it_s ever been used.

<insert spooky music here>

The clothing textures could use more work, otherwise, nice job!

This is REALLY a good image. I can't find any flaws and it creates a great
atmosphere. Putting some nods to mystery novels is a cool idea. I had a similar
idea putting some strange things and details in my image but i putted a mystery
to solve in it too (my image is pbfaith.jpg: do you see the two lower left
sheets? Aren't they mysterious? ;). PB

Well thought out concept, nice image. Well done!

From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com:

Very good theme. This image looks pretty good, though shouldn_t a fireplace
have some kinds of elements within it, or at least extend back farther?
Congratulations on making some variations between the books in the shelves.
Most people tend to take the shortcut way out, and that hurts the work.

From zio_tom78@hotmail.com:
Beautiful creation and nice concept. Unfortunately I do not read many mistery
stories, so I didn't caught the references.

Only a little note about the left window: glass is quite reflective when looked
at from such large angles, while in your image there is no reflection at all.

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
Nice scene overall. I like the level of detail achieved,
but it seems to me that the outer room lacks a sense of
realism when compared to the main room. The curtains
and mirror frame look very good (I see your making good
use of 3.5s new features). The crack in the mirror
doesn't work that well (I can't really tell if it's the mirror
or the reflected wall that has the crack without you
telling me), but the reason for this is clear given your
description of what you had to go through to get the
reflection looking good. Perhaps it would have helped if
the crack overlapped with some reflected object. One
other detail that could perhaps have been added would
be text on the spines of the books.

Nice image, I like it a lot. At some points textures are too clean -without sign
of usage, or something like that-, but it is a pretty good image overall. Good
concept too.

From glenn@mccarters.net:
Nice soft lighting gives a claustrophobic feel to the scene. Good =
models (such as the mirror), but the human seems a little clay-like. =
Excellent attention to detail but a few things seem off: both chairs =
have too-thin seats, the far door is too big for its doorway, the books =
are too uniform and pastel-colored, and the falcon looks like a ducky. =
Fine texturing all over. I like the way you worked elements of other =
mysteries into this scene. This is one of my favorite images in this =
competition.

Those blocks look familiar, did you ever take computer graphics at Bellarmine?
Well, it is one of the only images that I have seen that sticks to the concept
so nice job. The models are good too.

Put in a nice poser model, and I'll be convinced. :)
Notable for modelling, composition
