Those balloons look great! Your difference & filtered texture seems to work perfectly. Good use of sphere_sweeps. Some side or back lighting would add shadows for depth.

Really nice cake well done.  However, the image seems pretty flat.  Perhaps the details could have popped out with the right touch of lighting to make it more dramatic.

Iīm not sure how I feel about this image. Technically itīs thoroughy made, but this idea of a cake flying around isnīt appealing to my taste. Also the light is right on, which makes this look like a snap shot, taken by a cheap camera, rather than a dream image.

I find this to be hideous. It *does* have an effect, and 
there is something to be said for that. It is obvious from 
your text file that you had a strong purpose in mind when 
you created this image.  Your strong purpose has 
created a picture which did give me a strong reaction, 
albeit a negative one. Good job at creating one of the 
most provocative images of the round.
