Lamp looks good. Surroundings seem like they could be scaled larger, as is it feels kind of claustrophobic.

Nice lava lamp.  The ground plane seemed to tie it into the scene.  I had trouble figuring out what the light area was underneath....

The lighting of the scene looks strange, and the textures need lot of work. Good concept.
