Nice image, with good lighting and constrast.
It is a ruin and still everything is too perfect, if you take the fronton that
remains on the columns, we see the back of it and so we should see the breaks
of the stone that have fallen. It also seems that the standing broken column
are hollow and apart from the break they are perfectly maintained it seems. On
the ground there should not be only column pieces but also some squarish blocks
of stone. But these details are usually difficult to design and take a lot of
time.

Very nice, I think, and original.

I liked the image a lot, just a bit too much overgrowth to show decay.

Good concept. Lighting & vegetation work well. Columns look a bit too clean for
ruins.

According to your text file you have used great
technique, but I_m not so sure the result shows this. Why
are the columns hollow? It looks like they are made of
paper, the tiny shadows suggest this. Something here is
bothering me. The columns that are still standing, all
have an uneven break, but the parts on the ground don_t
(which is far more realistic). Another thing, the pattern on
the columns looks modern/futuristic, but at the same time
this image suggests ancient ruins. Also the color
supports this. The soft light is O.K. but the layout looks a
little flat, the depth is missing.

Good attempt. Though you may want to work more on textures and dirty things
up.

Are those columns hollow? Continue to push the limits of your imagination (and
your computer).

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
The columns look good, but on close inspection you can
tell that the broken columns are hollow (I wondered why
the ones on the ground had smooth breaks at first). It
might be possible to fix this problem is you used boolean
statements to create a discontinuous function for your
isosurfaces.

From slone@hiwaay.net:
The overall look of this image is very good. The radiosity provides
some nice shadowing in the center, on the fallen cylinders, but it
washes out a lot of the standing columns. The columns would look
better with more surface variation, they look too clean. The grass
growing out of the flat floor looks odd (and chopped-off), and the
floor texture appears out of focus, as does the texture on the cat.
The distant hill tops look great.

From file:
I like the background a lot, but the foreground's textures are too flat, and the
grass up-close has no tips! Not bad overall.
Notable for modelling
