IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

life verse death, an epic battle has begun, the undead army has risen to destroy
humanity (again) calling the beasts of the gods to fight by their sides.
Cerberus the headed dog and guardian of hells gates has been already slain, but
took more then his fair share of mortals with him. The Minotaur, servant of
hell is close to being defeated as he claims his last victim. Pegasus soars
overhead carrying one of the human captains as he launches arrows at their
enemies.

the battle is furiously raging, and we get a glimpse at a small section, the
Medusa has been spotted by many unfortunate souls, now encapsulated in stone
form... And will Zeus assist in the coming hours?

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

apart from the obvious Poser figures, everything has been created in Bryce, the
large number of shrubs is made up of spheres with some rather interesting
textures to give a cascading foliage effect, the pillars are simple objects
arranged so with a few negative Booleans to give them that familiar shape,
Pegasus' wings are symmetrical lattices from a Wing shape drawn in PSP

I have relied heavily on textures to give the feeling of cuts, originally
considering it was a battle no body was bleeding and it just looked a little
too clean :D But I probably could have used more blood spills on the floor??
but it is still early on in the fight..

I am aware that some of the men have full red clothes whilst others have a gold
band, this was deliberate to signify a difference in rank or clan... but I
assure you it was deliberate...

the ground is made with 2 lattice's one to provide the sandy path area and the
other an inverted copy of the same with some manipulation to provide the
surrounding rocks, scaled down trees have been placed all over to give twigs
and sticks to break through the sand and just provide general ambiance to the
image...

Most of the foliage as mentioned before is Spheres, so although the image looks
complicated (Maybe ?? :D) the wire view is a shed load of spheres

Work really hard on this and hope it offers some genuine viewing pleasure, this
has been one of my favourite topics yet, so hats off to the person who
suggested it, and thanks to those who voted

Sorry about the Jpeg compression, wanted to keep the 1400 x 1200 res, but had to
drop it 80 % to keep the compression at a minimum
