I don't like the face of your Edison but it's a good idea and an interesting technical challenge. One of the best image, for me.

Nice lighting, good depth of field. I like the B&W and
the care you have taken on some of the textures.
Notably the smudge on the wall upper-forground-left.
The inanimate objects look great. Humans are tough to
model, just keep at it. I look forward to seeing your next
entry.

Was he really that scary?

Artisticly I cant say much on this since you copied a photo. However technicly this image is superb.

From rgow@lanset.com:
A good job with a difficult scene. Inceasing the polygon count of the mesh would help, there are still some visible corners on his face & hands.

Every thing except the character was awsome. The guy wasn't done as well as it could have been.

From terraform@upnaway.com:

I like this picture, but the use of all those lights has stripped out a lot of depth in the shadow, have you thought about using increased ambient settings to make things brighter.
Good looking image with good use of effects like focal blur.

From corvus@onewhiteraven.com:
a terrific image, recognisably Edison, but his face is just a little too lumpy...

From marlo.steed@uleth.ca:
Nice image. The human face needed more attention to detail but still a very nice image and the texures and lighting were superb.
