IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

You don't get an idea of how impressive ships are until they're out of
water. Shipwrecks are even more awesome in that they show you the true power
of nature as well. They're monuments of epic proportions, to the epic power
of the sea.

Wrecks are surreal as well as awesome - I played up the surreal vibe in the
pic. I wanted to give it a creepy and unatural feeling which makes the wreck
even more dominating. Hope you like it...

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

* Shipwreck built using Bryce 3D
        - basic boat shape using rectanglular cubes
        - this 'correct shape' was then scattered slightly, giving the loose
plank
effect
        - particular planks were twisted or removed completely
* Mast is cylinder and rock boolean, then angled slightly
* Rock terrain using Bryce terrain editor
* Crates are grouped cubes with angled cubes to give the slatted effect
* File transferred to Bryce 5 for sky editing and rendering
