Very artistic. Although the tundra is pretty sparse in its inhabitants I
wouldn't call it a desert like antarctica can be a desert. Its a great render
but I just don't see how it fits the topic. An explanation would have helped.

This image seems a bit off topic to me. This doesn't really look like a desert,
the ground surface looks like it's covered in grass or moss. Apologies if I'm
misunderstanding, but since you haven't provided an explanation I have to judge
based on what I see.

Very nice. Good composition & textures. Scene is static though, needs something
to bring it to life.

Beautiful work. The mountains look amazing, the plants in the foreground look
pretty good, and the riverbed is a nice touch. Good textures, very nice sky.
Great work!

Although this is a good image, the lack of comments deducted from your score.

From ericf@foothill.net:
I like the image, very well rendered and designed. I just couldn't see how it
applies to the topic.

Looks like a painting.

From darwallace@earthlink.net:
This is not a desert, or even a tundra. Tundra is a cold badlands area with the
only moisture coming from occasional light snowfall. It's also mostly flat
with no streams and a few weedy grasses.
